My process
How do I work?
Piano
I always start playing chords and melodies on my keyboard connected to my computer
MAO: Arranging & Layering
After choosing my core instruments and recording a first version, I add layers to create harmony and dynamism
Voice
I sometimes record my own voice when I create songs, or simply for using it as another instrument in my orchestra
Mixing & Mastering
My Process’s final step is the mix of the tracks I created, the position of the instruments in the room for a better listening, and the mastering of the sound for a better quality
Who am I? ADEA
My name is Aude David. ADA is my consultant reference name as a web developer. Adea is now my artist name as a music composer. I come from Paris. I lived in Montreal, New Zealand, Madrid, and now I have been living in Bordeaux for 6 years.
Piano player / composer
I started to learn the piano when I was 6 years old, at an age where my curiosity lead me slowly to explore and understand the chords, what I was playing, how to change a melody, how to transform a music sheet, and how to translate an emotion into notes. 28 years later, my skills have improved, and composing became a passion. Improving my skills and translating stories into music notes are a day-to-day obsession.
My Favorite composers
Big fan of classical Music (Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart), metal (Nightwish, Sum41, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Metallica, SOAD), then electronical music (Daft Punk, Worakls, Overwerk, Napkey), I am today a huge admirer of original soundtracks composers (Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Danny Elfman, Ramin Djawadi, James Horner, Thomas Bergersen)
Informatic
I became a « geek » quite early, being comfortable with the computer and most of the informatic tools. In parallel of my hobbies, I have become graphic designer, and then web developer. Being used to work with a computer helped me a lot to use very early good music softwares such as : Cubase, Ableton Live, Fruity Loops, and now Logic Pro. I am now using only the keyboard, a mic, and Logic Pro to create music.
My favorite things in the world
If I had to choose, I would definitely say that my favorite things are composing, traveling around the world with a backpack including all the stuff I need to compose and create music with, meet tons of people from different cultures, read a lot of books, hike mountains, and learn many different things everyday.
